Well my daughter's got a job interview! OK in this economy it's so-so news but for her it's great! She's also feeling the baby kick and getting a check up & ultrasound tomorrow.

OK here's a few interesting links for you:

First my friend from Artist's Way, Susan Feinstein, has started a business after taking her first Artist's Way class! She is a fun loving, warm and twisted (in a good way) woman and I can see this going a long way!

First Wednesday in May - May 6th. One of my favorite restaurants is having their "Grand Opening"

Willamette Noodle Company

Looking for a cool Mother's Day gift for someone special - even yourself LOL?

one of the many yummy gifts

I love this one! Seeds for a year.

I feel kind of old today LOL

Not really - but my granddaughter Zoey is 7 years old today! I called her this evening to see what fun she had today and she had a tummy ache. I was in full grandma mode but didn't give advice to her stepmom Christene on tummy aches LOL.

Here's a picture of Zoey and part of her family in April of 2006:

Dayanera, Christene, Raynette, Wayne, Zoey and JJ.

I know Zoey is loved and cared for and it give me some peace. We are hoping to move down near the White family when Rich retires. It's kind of windy at times but a lot cooler than Tucson. I hope by us moving close by there will be a feeling of family and celebrations - two things that mean a lot to me.

Happy Birthday Zoey my sweet little pixie - you will always be Grandma's Girl.

I saw "Medium" last night and the daughter was angry at her parents and there was a dialogue that went something like this and it really hit me "Ariel Time is priceless, yet it costs us nothing you can do anything you want with it but own it. you can spend it, but you cant keep it and once you've lost it, there's no getting it back it's just...gone.I know you're mad This time that you are choosing to be angry at Daddy and I, is time we could've spent being happy. Time... it's just gone. And you never get it back...there...there went one second, there goes another...gone. You'll never have it again. There's another one, just wasted. We wasted it just by holding onto anger. Just know this, that tomorrow when you wake up, you'll be another day older.

Bucket List continued

Paragliding - yes you heard me right. I used to be afraid of heights but somehow I think this would be FAN-tastic! Not sure if I want to do it over water, unless it's really warm water.

Scuba diving - not sure if I could do this. I've always had problems with my ears and I'm not sure about the pressure, etc.

Both of these activities would be great in Hawaii or Australia - two places I'd like to go, and they are also on my list. I'd love to explore the Great Barrier Reef - so beautiful!

I'd like to get an article or book published - even if I have to do the publishing myself. I've started so many stories - just need to finish them.

Thank you San for your comment about ME going on Oprah to tell my story. I do have an online support group of mostly women and I kind of feel like the "baby" of the group since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 2-3 years ago. There are many other women who have suffered a lot longer, went through a bunch of doctors telling them it's - depression, menopause, in their heads, etc. I sent a little something to the show - we'll see.

Beautiful sunny day here but I feel like I need an "oil can" LOL. Think I will go and sit out in the sun.

I've Got Sunshine on a Cloudy Day (cue music)

I was feeling like crap yesterday but I got something in the mail. My AW friend Bobbie sent me a card and a flower. The flower she gave me at the last AW meeting broke but I used my trusty clear masking tape LOL and fixed it. This was taken with my webcam since Rich is scrambling to find the power cord to rev up the digital camera.
I missed yoga since I was on the couch most of the day with a heating pad - wish they made a body size one. I had to take pain medicines that I take very rarely but I wasn't able to drive. Man what a bummer!
I did watch Oprah yesterday with one of my favorites - Michael J. Fox. I was wondering when Oprah would have people on the show that are in pain that the disability ISN'T visible like fibromyalgia. I'd go on as one of the people still coming to grips with all it entails. I'm making friends but I'm torn between "pushing" myself and taking care of myself. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot.
I was watching Good Morning America and had to laugh. I watched yesterday and remembered what a Krimpet was - I was born in Philly and took a box of them home when I visited last time. That's one of the things I miss about Philly but I can always order online right?
Two books I want to read (I love biographies and autobiographies) Michael J. Fox and Cloris Leachman. I wish I had her energy - dancing at her age - 82 - on "Dancing With the Stars". The book I'm reading now is for the book club I'm in "The Adventures of Miles and Isabel" by Tom Gilling. I'm liking it - it combines (to me) fate, love - and I believe in that a lot. I am using my beautiful beaded bookmark from Dawn - thank you sweetie!
I have wonderful friends! I'm taking the attitude from one of my friends to re-define friendship. I used to feel that a friend you talk to almost every day, go out at least once a week. I feel like I've failed at that - hey that's one of the reasons I go to a counselor LOL. I cherish e-mails, phone calls and get-togethers that we have had and the Altered Book ladies and the Book Club. Dayna is at the center of all of these and I appreciate & admire her SO much.
